Mukilteo Rush Select is a competitive soccer program. Mukilteo Rush teams are formed using a tryout process. Players register and attend tryouts for a particular age group. Evaluators at the tryouts may or may not be the coaches for the team the player is trying out for.
What to expect:
The tryout sessions are much like a typical practice with drills and/or small-sided/full-sided scrimmages. Attending a tryout for the first time can be intimidating. However, players should just try to relax, have fun, work hard and bring along a great attitude. Players may be evaluated on individual skills, team skills, attitude, energy level, speed, agility and how they interact with other teammates.
Time and duration:
Tryouts usually consist of two 90 minute sessions. Players are not required to attend both. However, attending both sessions can significantly improve a player's chances of being selected for a team. Please let your evaluators know if you can only attend one of the sessions.
